Still many prefer the 452 and 453, and they may bring a premium. I’ve had a 453, still have my second 455 SS, and have a 457 Varmint MTR. All are great rifles and excellent values. The 457 corrected the bass-ackwards safety, has a nice trigger guard, has a lower bolt lift, and is nitrided. Not all regard those as important issues, but some did.
We have a 455 Trainer, which came with the hooded front sight. That's attached via a single set screw and some glue. I presume all the hooded front sight models are the same way, like the new 457 models, but I don't really know. Call CZ to ask. Assuming you DO have that single screw hole on your CZ, you'll need to order 4 products. THE PARTS

So if you buy a varmint and decide its to heavy to tote around you can buy an american barrel, or if you decide you want iron sights you can buy a barrel with sights. All the barrels will fit into a varmint

As I walked in the door they handed me a brand new CZ 457 Lux, 22LR, 24” barrel, walnut stock, that had arrived 5 minutes before.

The CZ 457 varmint barrel will do what you want. My son's 457 will do that all day long with standard velocity ammo. I had a Tikka T1x and it would shoot about the same with the same SV ammo. Overall, the CZ was just a bit nicer. I liked the heavy barrel and feel of working the bolt. I sold the T1x - since it was for me and I shoot long guns lefty.

According to my LGS, Hick’s (IIRC) received a whole bunch of rifles that were originally destined / designed for the Euro market - where threaded barrels for suppressors are the norm due to the standard use of suppressors. He has a 457 Trainer that peaked my interest because it is threaded.

Maybe, maybe not. The 455 wasn't produced as long as the 452 and didn't have quite the shooter loyalty of the older rifle. And the 455 was heartily disliked by some because it replaced the venerable 452. As far as accuracy goes the 452/455/457 rifles are pretty much the same.
CZ stupidly made the 452 and 453 American and certain calibers of the other 452 and 453 models with 3/8" US standard rimfire dovetails. They fixed the problem with the 455 and now 457, where the 11 mm European standard rimfire dovetail is the only one used. View attachment 6999386

My 457 American weighs in at an even eight pounds with a Leupold 4-12x VX-2 40mm AO scope in steel Leupold ringmounts. I don't know about you, but nine pounds is a fair amount to carry around and then hold steady even if the squirrels
