Hoka one one arahi 5 user, question and recommendations. I bought a pair of Arahi 5 about a month ago after using Saucony Liberty and Omni for a couple of years. I've tried my way around a few shoes earlier years and stuck with Saucony.
My 1st hoka was Clifton6. I reached 1200km in that, doing 5k to 26k runs. The C6 has been retired and its successor is my Rincon3. Its like a light version of C6 , already 500km n still going strong π. /i have other road running shoes that overlaps as i like to run in diff shoes every outing (ie Rebel3, Nova1) π.
Initial impressions - to be honest, one of disappointment. Despite all the rave reviews on YouTube and so forth, they don't feel anything special to me. They're neither super-cushioned nor super-responsive. Just very very average. I'm not getting much pop or bounce. They feel soft under foot - a bit like running in sand, but in a bad way.
Normally retailing for $24.98, the Hightail is even more affordable right now β on sale for just $20. That means you can score a pair for indoor and outdoor workouts and theyβre still a
The Arahi is significantly lighter than most stability shoes and has a softer brand of cushioning than something like, say, a Brooks Adrenaline. The stability posting is also more evenly distributed along the entire body of the shoe than the localized postings in other similar sneakers; for example, the huge, stiff arch bridge in the GT-2000.
Brands: I've tried a lot of brands in my seven years of Running and I can honestly say that don't stick to one brand since every shoe model will feel different. My last two brands are New Balance (three pairs,Road), Newton (two pairs,Road) and I'm now using Hoka One One (two pairs,Road) and Brooks Caldera (Trail/Mountain).
Hoka Speedgoat 5 review. I've been using my SG5 on mixed surfaces and trails now and can confidently make comments and a review regarding about the shoes. I bought a couple of sizes to start - 1 normal size, 1 a half size bigger. I stuck with my normal size. I have Wide-Medium volume feet.
I am ~130lbs 5'9" and I run around 40 mpw mainly road with maybe one 10-12 mi trail long run every week. I hope to get at least 300 miles with these shoes and was wondering what you guys recommend. The Hoka seems strong with being lightweight but the Novablast's foam looks really good for longer runs.
Before the Bondi's I was using the Asics GT series which were trash. I thought both Hokas were much better in terms of comfort than the Asics, but I need to be careful which socks I wear because they are a little narrower. I do not use the Arahi for trail, nowhere near enough grip, I use a Brooks for that. 1.
Hoka Tor Ultra HI - Women's Review. The revolutionary design was definitely a risk on the part of the manufacturers, but it proved to be a success, as the Hokas took the cake for the most comfortable boots in our review. The cushion just isn't there. I pulled them out over the last few months and even on the first mile, my feet are screaming at me to get more cushion. I finally want to purchase my first Hoka One One pair. I've read a million reviews, tried multiple styles on in the store, but there are many options and I can't make the executive decision.

Hokas US sizes translate differently into EU and UK measurements than other popular brands, too; their US 9 is EU 44.3 whereas Nike's are 44.5 for example, iirc. Those fractions will make a difference and it only takes a few posts, comments and reviews to start up an opinion train on something. 2. jewrassicpark.
